Looking to make profit on the horses with out backing favourites or using huge stakes? Hi, I'm Anthony and I was in the same boat a few years back, I followed others tips and was left underwhelmed by my returns, I was staking £100 per bet backing favourites only to see less than I staked coming back as profit on most wins. The tipster would claim that the odds were above evens but by the time I got my bets on, they were already odds on. Some weeks I made a profit, some weeks I lost. I was betting £700 per week to see maybe £250 profit on a good week and a loss of over £300 on a bad week. Things just weren't adding up. I tried picking the favourites myself and betting the night before when the odds were better but again, the favourites continued to lose on a regular basis. Betting the evening before the racing and tracking the price movements wasn't a waste of time though, I started tracking multiple horses in races and seeing how their prices fell early morning and even over night in some cases. Long story short, that is what lead me to my Value Multiplier approach to betting. First off, you'll be glad to hear - no favourites. After watching racing for well over a decade and a half I've come to understand that you can make the right pick before a race based on data, stats, trends whatever you like but once the race starts there are unknown's, the start, getting boxed in, clipping fence, having an outsider set a ridiculous pace out of the gate, a multitude of unknowns and losing a bet when these things happens doesn't always mean that your research was wrong. Because these things happen, we need to have more margains in our profit so that when something surprising does happen its not a huge loss. There are 2 ways I provide bigger margains for our success: 1) The prices. I look for value picks only on a daily basis. This combination means that a lower strike rate of wins can still see a profitable return. The final part of the puzzle is the bet type. I place a daily each way patent bet across 3 value selections. This means we get a patrial return of our total stake for just 1 of 3 horses placing. The better we do each day the bigger the returns. In effect this means we're placing 14 bets, or 7 each way bets, each day, across 3 selections. I use £5 stakes, meaning its a £70 bet per day. Don't think you can see big returns from £5 staking? Take a look at this years profit/loss:
Over £10,000 profit, averaging very close to £1,100 tax free profit per month. On top of that only 1 month has ended in a loss this year and every profitable month was more than the loss. This means that no matter which month was before or after the losing month, we would still be in profit for the year after just 60 days (losing month included). I think its important to show wins and losses, so here's every bet I placed through September, this way you can see the day by day profit/loss, see any losing runs and basically what you should expect on a daily basis from the selection, not every day is a winner, and there will be losing runs but this should give you a better idea of what to expect on a day by day basis: 1st September

There were 25 betting days in September, taking out Sunday's and the strike day. We made a profit on 10 of these, so more days ended in a loss than a profit, but only 2 of these days saw the full stake lost, every other day saw at least a partial return. Taking out non-runners there were 73 selections: 16 winners (21.9% strike rate) 58.9% of selections saw a win or place. Here's how October's going... 1st October

October wasn't a great month, we made less than the average profit and we didn't have a perfect 3/3 wins on any day this month, we came close a few times with 2 wins and a place on multiple occasions, that said I'm not going to turn my nose up at £840 profit. There were 27 betting days in October, taking out Sunday's. We made a profit on 9 of these, so more days ended in a loss than a profit, and there were 6 days where we didn't see a return of any kind. Taking out non-runners there were 79 selections: 15 winners (18.9% strike rate) 44.3% of selections saw a win or place.
